Forever Love Rescue Inc is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization operating under EIN# 46-2042251 in Historic Gettysburg, PA.
In September of 2012, our family traveled to South Carolina to a rural pet shelter to adopt a dog after losing one of our own to cancer. After spending the day with the shelter staff and volunteers, we realized how much of a problem there was and wondered why more people weren’t doing something about it. We decided that we would find a way to make a difference…
In February 2013 we incorporated as Vega’s New Leash on Life Pet Rescue. In August 2014 we were approved as an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We ran the dog rescue out of our home and saved many dogs from southern shelters by finding them homes up north in and around Adams County. Then a few local people got involved and agreed to foster pets for us in their homes as well.
In 2014 as we decided to branch out and save cats, Pet Valu Gettysburg allowed us space to showcase 3 of our kitties at a time. More local people stepped up to help care for the cats there daily. In 2015, we officially changed our name to Forever Love Rescue Inc and created a new logo adding a cat. In October 2015 we opened a shop in town and called it our Kitty Corner. We finally had a place for the public to meet our cats and a way for more volunteers to get involved at our cat rescue! We also became involved in Trap Neuter Return in our community so that we can continue our life saving mission outside of our doors.
In February 2019 we switched gears to focus on the local overpopulation of cats and expanded our Kitty Corner Gettysburg to a larger, more comfortable space across town. We now have over three dozen regular volunteers, cats in over a dozen foster homes, and regularly care for 150-200 homeless cats at a time. In 2021 we secured a small warehouse and a box truck so that we can accept large scale donations which we gladly share with other local rescue groups. We have continued to be highly involved in Trap Neuter Return in our community and the generous donation of a minivan to transport 20+ community cats to/from surgery every other week has been a huge blessing! We are excited to continue to grow and save more lives while teaching our community how to help the animals in need and slow down their overpopulation.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Forever Love Rescue Inc is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to helping unwanted, discarded, neglected, forgotten or left behind pets. We bring them in and care for them until we can find them loving homes. We educate and advocate for responsible pet ownership (including spaying and neutering pets) to aid in the solution to pet homelessness and overpopulation. Donations and dedicated volunteers and fosters make this all possible every day. We are based in Historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania but we do all that we can for the pets of Adams, Franklin and Cumberland Counties and the surrounding areas.
