FLR relies primarily on donations for feeding our kitties, which means there is usually a supply of kitten/cat food available to fosters. We are careful to only use grain free/high protein food made in the USA. If you are buying your own food, be sure to check the label as imported foods are not regulated under FDA guidelines. A few additional tips:

• Use metal or ceramic dishes for water and feeding. Plastic dishes can leech chemicals.
• Quality of food for our kitties matters! When in doubt, ask for food from FLR.
• Never give kittens/cats human food, scraps, etc. Milk, raw meat, eggs, etc. are major no-no’s!
• Temptations/Greenies treats are okay for cats. Kittens need to stick with kitten food until at least 6 months.
