#NoKillCatShelter #WhyWeDoWhatWeDo
In order to appreciate what we do at our no kill cat shelter… you should understand why we are here to do it:
Animal shelters and rescues exist because there is an overpopulation issue. They exist because there is a breakdown in the public’s perception of the definition of pets. There are also far too many pet owners who simply do not understand their responsibility to the animals they have.
A cat or dog is euthanized in a shelter every 20 seconds in the United States. While this is an improvement from 2011, when the number was as high as one every 8 seconds, it’s simply not good enough. These numbers are still completely unacceptable – so we work tirelessly at our no kill cat shelter to continue to bring these numbers down and be a voice for these animals in every way we can. We hope you’ll take the time to learn more about the issues surrounding pet overpopulation and how you can help.
